Sentinel Forms

Sentinel Forms is a street-level study of abstracting structures that tower overhead. Each image has been shot with the intent to compress perspective, isolate fragments of façade, grids, seams, reflections, and surfaces that resolve into the final austere composition. Inspired by the geometric forms of Maarten Rots, and the philosophy of Andreas Gursky's approach to post production. What begins as documentation becomes interpretation, familiar towers reduced to geometry, light, and held overhead in a new manner of form.
